Domaine Charton Mercurey Clos du Chapitre Rouge 750ml

Domaine Charton have cultivated vines in Bourgogne, in Mercurey, since 1941.Third generation & grandchild Vincent is now lead vigneron and winemaker with the invaluable support of his father and long-time custodian Jean-Pierre. Together the pair manage nearly 12 hectares of family vineyards all in the Mercurey appellation in the Cote Chalonnaise. This village is at an altitude of between 230 – 320 metres, is particularly regarded for its unique composition of limestone and gravelly soils suited to delivering bright and pronounced fruit character in the wines.
